At Clinique Beauté (Dr. Emel Polat's clinic) we process your personal data only as far as needed to provide the service. This policy summarizes what we collect in our mobile app and website, why we use it, who we share it with and your rights. For full details see the Data Protection Notice (KVKK) page.
What we collect
Account details (first and last name, e-mail, optional phone number); health and wellness data (health questionnaire, skin and meal analysis results, water, sleep, mood, activity and cycle entries, medication and allergy declarations); records kept at our clinic (appointments, treatments, prescriptions, lab results, signed documents); messages; technical data (device model, app version, IP address, notification ID). Your step count stays on your device only. We do not collect location, contacts or microphone data.
Photos
A photo you select for skin or meal analysis is processed only during the analysis. Our app does not store the photo, only the results. Treatment photos taken by the doctor at our clinic are part of your patient file.
Why we use your data
To manage your account, enable appointments and messaging, provide healthcare and keep its records, ensure security and meet legal obligations. With your consent we send notifications and marketing messages. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising and do not use third-party advertising or tracking tools in the mobile app.
Artificial intelligence
Skin and meal analyses run only with your explicit consent and through AI service providers located in Türkiye (EVREN, LLMTR). The image sent is stripped of location and device information; your name, national ID number and contact details are not sent. Results are not a medical diagnosis and do not replace a doctor's examination.
Who we share data with
The database, authentication and file storage run on our own servers in Istanbul; backups are kept encrypted on a separate server in Türkiye. As far as needed for the service we share data with: Estesoft / Stella (appointment system, Türkiye), Netgsm (SMS, Türkiye; only when SMS notifications are on), AI providers (Türkiye), Resend (e-mail delivery, EU / Ireland infrastructure) and OneSignal (push notifications, USA). Transfers abroad are limited to e-mail and notification delivery and rely on your explicit consent and appropriate safeguards under Article 9 of the Turkish KVKK. Data may be shared with competent authorities where the law requires.
Retention
Your data is kept while your account is open. If you delete your account you can restore it by signing in within 30 days; afterwards it is permanently deleted. Clinical records that must be kept by law (at least 20 years) and financial records (10 years) are kept for the legal period with access restricted.
Your rights
In the app you can download your data and delete your account under Profile > My Data, and withdraw consents under Profile > My contracts (consents). For your other rights under Article 11 of the KVKK write to info@emelpolat.com.tr; requests are answered within 30 days. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority.
Age limit
The app is for adults aged 18 and over. For patients under 18 a record is opened only at our clinic with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
